Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Otom World LLC ("DoDot," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the DoDot mobile application and related services (the "Services").
By using DoDot, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
Key Principles
- No Sale of Data: Otom World LLC does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- No Third-Party Ads: We do not run third-party advertising at this time.
- Global Scope: This Policy applies to all users worldwide, including the United States, United Kingdom Australia, South Korea, Canada, and the European Economic Area (EEA).
- Children: If you are under 13 (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country), you may not use DoDot. If you are 13–15 in a jurisdiction requiring parental consent, a parent or guardian must approve your use.

1. Information We Collect
Otom World LLC collects information you provide directly, information collected automatically when you use DoDot, and limited information from third parties. This information is collected solely to provide and improve the Services, including personalization, safety and compliance, and development of new features.
a. Information You Provide
- Account Details: username, password, email, date of birth, optional phone number, profile photo, and bio.
- Content: text or photos you post in response to daily prompts and your privacy settings (public or friends-only).
- Social Connections: friends you add or invite, contact information if you choose to sync contacts, and blocks/reports.
- Communications: feedback, support requests, survey responses, and contest entries. We may use survey and contest data in aggregated form to help us understand which features users prefer and guide product development.
- Direct Messages / Chat Logs: You may send messages to other users. Messages disappear from user view after 48 hours. However, Otom World LLC securely retains copies of direct messages and chat logs until your account is deleted (subject to backups and legal retention) for purposes such as safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and maintaining the integrity of the Services.
b. Information Collected Automatically
- Device & Technical Data: device type/model, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, IP address and region, time zone, crash/performance logs.
- Usage Data: features used, frequency and duration of activities, posts viewed, interaction patterns, click paths.
- Location Data (Optional): if you enable location services, we collect precise or background location.
c. Information from Third Parties
- Linked Services: if you sign up or log in using Apple, Google, or similar, we receive basic profile info and email as authorized by you.
- Other Users: content others post about you (mentions, comments, messages, friend requests).
- Service Providers: analytics, hosting, messaging delivery, and fraud-prevention partners may process limited data strictly to provide services to Otom World LLC.
2. How We Use Your Information
Otom World LLC uses information only to operate and improve DoDot and to meet legal obligations. Specifically, we may use your information to:
- Provide the Services: create and manage your account, deliver daily prompts, enable posting, messaging, and social connections, process notifications and friend requests.
- Personalize Your Experience: curate your feed based on your activity, remember preferences and settings, suggest friends you may know.
- Improve and Develop DoDot: monitor usage trends, debug errors, test and evaluate features, conduct analytics.
- Communicate With You: send service-related announcements, provide customer support, send optional push notifications (daily prompts, friend activity).
- Promote Safety and Compliance: detect and prevent fraud, spam, or abuse; investigate violations of our Terms of Service or Community Guidelines; comply with legal requests.
Legal Basis (UK/EEA Users): We process data where necessary to perform our contract with you, comply with legal obligations, protect legitimate interests (such as preventing abuse), or with your consent where required (for example, optional features like location).
Usage analytics may be retained up to 2 years in aggregated form to help Otom World LLC understand feature adoption, improve performance, and guide product development.
No Advertising or Sale of Data: Otom World LLC does not use your information to deliver third-party advertising and does not sell personal data.
3. How We Share Your Information
We share information only as described:
- With Other Users: public posts are viewable by all users; friends-only posts are viewable by accepted friends.
- With Service Providers: vendors that provide cloud hosting, analytics, messaging delivery, and fraud-prevention may access data solely to perform their functions. These service providers act as processors for Otom World LLC and are bound by contractual obligations.
- For Legal Reasons: when required by law, regulation, or legal process; to protect rights, property, or safety; to detect or prevent fraud or security issues.
- Business Transfers: in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may transfer as part of the transaction.
- Aggregated/De-identified Data: we may share non-identifiable statistics for research, analytics, or security.
4. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your information.
Users have the right to:
- Object to processing where we rely on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent where we rely on consent
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
Otom World LLC will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law.
5. Managing Your Information
You can edit or delete posts, change privacy settings, block/report users, or delete your account within the app.
Account Deletion: Go to Profile → Settings → Account Actions → Delete Account. Once confirmed, your account and associated data will be deleted within 30 days, subject to backups and legal retention.
Device Permissions: Control access (location, camera, contacts, notifications) through your operating system settings.
Email Preferences: Manage via unsubscribe links.

Backups may persist up to 90 days before secure deletion.
7. Data Security
Otom World LLC uses third-party cloud hosting providers to store and process personal information.
Security measures include encryption in transit, access controls, application safeguards, and backups. Hosting providers secure the infrastructure; Otom World LLC secures application logic, configurations, and account permissions.
8. International Data Transfers
Otom World LLC is headquartered in the United States but stores and processes data globally.
- Australia: Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles.
- South Korea: PIPA; Korean Privacy Officer designated.
- Canada: PIPEDA and provincial privacy laws (including Quebec's Law 25).
- EEA/UK/Switzerland: Transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
By using the Services, you consent to these transfers.
9. Children's Privacy
DoDot is not directed to children under 13. Otom World LLC requests date of birth at sign-up to prevent underage use. Accounts may be suspended or deleted if requirements are not met.
10. Third-Party Links and Features
DoDot may contain links to third-party sites. Otom World LLC is not responsible for their practices.
11. Regional Supplements
- Canada (PIPEDA): Requests to privacy@otom.world.
- California (CCPA/CPRA): DoDot does not sell personal info. Requests allowed by law.
- U.S. (Other States): Otom World LLC complies with CO, CT, UT, VA, TX, OR state laws.
- EU/UK (GDPR): Rights described in Section 4.
12. Data Breach Notification
If a data breach creates a risk of harm to users, Otom World LLC will notify affected users and regulators as required by applicable law.
- GDPR/EEA/UK: within 72 hours of becoming aware of a breach.
- Canada (PIPEDA / Quebec Law 25): "as soon as feasible" and no later than 30 days.
- United States: "without unreasonable delay" or within state deadlines (30–45 days where applicable).
- South Korea (PIPA): promptly, and no later than 24 hours in significant cases.
- Other Jurisdictions: within timelines required by local law.
Users will be informed via in-app notifications, email, or both, depending on the severity.
13. Dispute Resolution
U.S. Users: Binding arbitration under AAA Consumer Rules; governed by Delaware law. Opt out within 30 days by emailing legal@otom.world.
Non-U.S. Users: Disputes resolved in local courts under local law.
Informal Resolution: Contact privacy@otom.world first.
14. Updates to This Policy
Otom World LLC may update this Policy. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email. Continued use = acceptance.
